Steve Vicencia has been a licensed insurance agent/broker for over 29 years. He is President of Vicencia & Buckley Insurance Services, Inc., and is a licensed fire & casualty agent, broker, and surplus lines broker. Mr. Vicencia obtained the designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1988, which is widely acknowledged to be the highest professional designation in the industry. Prior to entering the insurance business, Mr. Vicencia worked as Sales Manager for the Southland Corporation.

Mr. Vicencia has served as President of the Cerritos Chamber of Commerce, which honored him as “Business Person of the Year” in 2004. He has also served as President of the Mid Cities Chapter of Independent Insurance Agents, and was the organization’s “Agent of the Year” in 1987. In 2009 he was awarded the Doug Paddleford Memorial Award for outstanding community service. As a certified SCUBA Diver, Mr. Vicencia has participated in risk management seminars at the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association Trade Show. He has also authored several insurance articles and has conducted workshops on workers compensation experience rating.

Mr. Vicencia was appointed to the Los Angeles County Commission on Insurance by Supervisor Don Knabe in 2005.

Born and raised in Southeast Los Angeles County, Mr. Vicencia graduated from Saint John Bosco High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from San Diego State University in 1977.

Michele attended California State University at Long Beach and began working for Bank of America Corporation in 1975. She began as a teller and worked her way up to account analyst for real estate, commercial and consumer loans and flooring audits for auto dealerships. She left the banking industry to join her father and brother at Gene List Insurance in July 1983, which later became Vicencia & Buckley Insurance Services in 1986.

Michele was first elected to the board of directors and an officer of the corporation in 1987. She received her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in July 1993.

Brian has been with Vicencia and Buckley for over 10 years and in that time Brian has received his AA degree from Golden West College and his Bachelor’s degree from California State University Fullerton. Brian is now a licensed agent working in our commercial lines department and is currently obtaining his Charter Property & Casualty Underwrite (CPCU) designation, widely recognized as the highest insurance designation.

Christina has been with Vicencia and Buckley since 2009. She has received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University and previously worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP in their audit services, focusing in the health insurance industry.. Christina is now a licensed agent working in our commercial lines department and is currently obtaining her Charter Property & Casualty Underwrite (CPCU) designation, widely recognized as the highest insurance designation, and her Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation.

Julie initially began her career in the insurance industry in 1991 and joined Vicencia & Buckley in 1997. She is a licensed fire and casualty broker-agent and services our SCUBA diving insurance programs, where she provides assistance to our clients all over the world. Julie has also obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.

Marilda began working in customer service in 1985 and joined Vicencia & Buckley in January of 2001. Marilda speaks three languages and works diligently to provide proper customer service to Vicencia & Buckley customers.

Jackie has been with Vicencia & Buckley since 2005. She began working as a customer service representative in our dive insurance department and since has moved into the commercial lines department. She is a licensed fire & casualty broker-agent. Jackie plans on obtaining her CPCU designation in the future.

Debbie has been in the insurance business since 1975 and has been a loyal employee of Vicencia & Buckley since 1984 as a licensed fire and casualty broker-agent. Debbie manages our personal lines department and is a Customer Service Representative, servicing automobile, homeowners, umbrella and other personal lines policies.

Lisa worked for Vicencia & Buckley from 1996-2002, servicing our SCUBA diving program clients as a licensed property and casualty-broker. Lisa rejoined Vicencia & Buckley in 2010 and resumed her role as a Customer Service Representative for our SCUBA diving program clients.

Julie began her insurance career selling personal automobile, motorcycle, and life insurance in Honolulu in 1982. In 1987, Julie moved to California and obtained her fire and casualty license and started her career in commercial insurance. Julie joined V&B in 1995 as our commercial lines manager. In 2008 Julie crossed over from managing and servicing to production/sales. Julie earned her CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) designation in 2005, widely recognized as the highest insurance designation.

Aracelly has been with Vicencia & Buckley since May 2000. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a strong experience as an account executive helping people with their Property & Casualty insurance needs. Aracelly is bilingual (English & Spanish).

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from UC Davis and MBA from California State University at Long Beach. Jim became a licensed insurance agent in 1995. He has been placing auto, home, life, and health insurance of behalf of Vicencia and Buckley clients since 1997.

Gary has been a licensed Fire & Casualty Agent/Broker since 1976. He has over 30 years of business and sales experience in the insurance industry, including owning his own insurance agency. Gary has been with Vicencia & Buckley since 2004 as a personal lines Customer Service Representative.

Jessica began working in customer service in 2005 and joined Vicencia & Buckley in September of 2007. Jessica is fluent in three different languages and services our SCUBA diving insurance program.

Trinice has been working in accounting with Vicencia & Buckley since 2006. She is an accounting representative who ensures all licenses and taxes are updated accurately and in a timely manner for all fifty states. She has over 10 years of experience in Accounting.

Irene began her insurance career in 1990 and is a licensed Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent. Her experience is in Commercial Insurance and she holds a CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation. Irene joined Vicencia & Buckley in 2008 and is a Senior Account Manager in the Commercial Department.
