Local Insurance Agent Steve Vicencia, CPCU has been appointed to the Los Angeles County Commission on Insurance by Don Knabe, Supervisor of the 4th district.

The commission on Insurance advises the Board of Supervisors and makes recommendations on insurance issues facing County residents and businesses. Appointees to the Commission are selected on the basis of experience and knowledge in these areas.

“I am pleased that Mr. Vicencia has accepted this appointment. His 25 years of experience and knowledge will benefit the residents and businesses of Los Angeles County,” said Supervisor Knabe.

Mr. Vicencia is President of Vicencia & Buckley Insurance Services, Inc. and he obtained his chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1988, which is widely acknowledged to be highest professional designation in the industry.

Mr. Vicencia is a past President of the Cerritos Chamber of commerce and received the organization’s “Business person of the Year” in 2004. He also served as President of the Mid Cities Chapter of the Independent Independent Insurance Agents, which honored him as “Agent of the year” in 1987.
